Jason Lee, Tom Currie and I produced this short for the Knoxville Films 24 Hour Film Festival. Our requirements were a dictionary, a landlord and the line of dialogue "try to be incognito when you meet them." We had a great time making the movie. Jupiter Entertainment won best film at the festival but since they sponsored the first place prize they chose to let us have the 2-day camera lighting and audio package rental.

Photography For Foothills Land Conservancy
Elise Eustace took me on a few photography expeditions for Foothills Land Conservancy. She will be using the photos for several purposes. Some of the pictures will be used in an article for Tennessee Conversationist Magazine that Elise wrote. Some of the images are going to be printed on banners to be displayed at an upcoming fund raising event. One of the photos was already used in a Mast General Store ad. Tennessee Conversationist required exclusive rights to the images they used so now that they have been selected I can share the rest of the set.

After several years of serious photography I have a tremendous amount of images and most of them unfortunately wait unedited. The benefit is that now I can delve into those old images whenever I want and bring out the gems. I have recently added these photos from as early as 2006 and as late as last year.

In November I was hired to do more transcribing for Northsouth Productions. This time i am working on a show about auctions. Auctions! tells the stories of buyers, sellers and auctioneers in the Canton Ohio area. The footage is mostly interviews with and without blue screen backgrounds. Transcribing this show has given me the opportunity to learn more about conducting and recording a good interview. I have not only been studying the camera work but also the types of questions that need to be asked and how to get editable responses from the subject. This experience will help me with my own projects as well as work with future clients.

This month marks the 144th anniversary of the battle of Fort Dickerson in Knoxville, Tennessee. Fort Dickerson's annual Living History Weekend was held Nov. 9-Nov. 11. It allowed Knoxvillians to remember their heritage through a weekend of Civil War reenactments. Fort Dickerson was designed by Capt. Orlando M. Poe, chief engineer of the Army of the Ohio, and built by the Federal Army during the winter of 1863 to protect Knoxville
