This winter I am also working on a show called The Auctioneers. This show tells the stories of buyers, sellers and auctioneers in the Canton Ohio area. Transcribing this show has given me the opportunity to learn more about conducting and recording a good interview. I have not only been studying the audio and camera work but also the types of questions that need to be asked and how to get editable responses from the subject. This experience will help me with my own projects as well as work with future clients.
In November 2009 Northsouth Productions contacted me about transcribing some more shows. First they gave me footage from Impassable, a reality show about avalanche cleanup in Utah. The show focuses on the crew and plow drivers. This show is particularly interesting to me, it was shot in Cottonwood Canyon, a place I was lucky enough to visit a couple of summers ago. Impassable will air on TLC.
Transcribing Little Miss Perfect
I was hired to transcribe videos for Northsouth Productions here in Knoxville. Watching and logging the unedited footage for Little Miss Perfect has given me great insight into the production process behind reality television. This experience will certainly be useful on future projects I participate in.
