2011 Xfinity High School Football for Nashville Video Productions
PlayOn! Sports brought me back to shoot the 2011 high school
football season.Mike Murrian the
owner of Nashville Video Productions provides the equipment and directs the
show from his own trailer.I
operate one of three cameras, the close up press box kind of angle. We shoot the game like it is live with
play by play and announcers.The
whole thing is edited for Xfinity on demand. Our team covered games in Chattanooga and Knoxville, even a
playoff game at Finley Stadium.Towards the end of the season PlayOn! Sports voted us the best crew in
the company, a nationwide organization.I really enjoy this gig. We show up at a new school run cables, set up
cameras and an announcer booth.It
is great to go run a camera every week. They set me up with a Canon XLH1.Most weeks Mike shows up with new toys for us, monitors, magic arms,
better tripods, lens hoods.This
is a really fun job.We have
already started talking about next season.
