Geocaching Video for Sevier County News

Geocaching is a fun outdoor hobby. Someone hides a container in an outdoor spot and posts the GPS coordinates on a number of websites. Treasure hunters use a GPS device to pinpoint the location of the cache. We used a free Iphone app to track down a few of them in Sevier County. There are several traditional activities, sometimes there are items in the container and you are supposed to trade something you have for something in the container. There is almost always a log book to leave your mark and these can be interesting to browse through.
I made this video about geocaching with my friend Ben Cannon. It was a fun day. Getting good images of the Iphone presented some challenging lighting situations but we made it work. We recorded the voice over with one of my new shotgun mics and I am very pleased with the quality. The clean audio allowed me to edit the dialogue easily, I can't wait to make a similar project soon.Geocaching is a fun outdoor hobby.
